Almost Lara Bars(Chocolate Banana)

These are adapted to my taste from beyondthepeel a recipe my darling cousin sent me today. They are rich with healthful deliciousness! An easy and versatile recipe that I can see experimenting with further in the future.

Combine in Food Processor:

1 c. prunes (pressed full)

1/4 c. peanut butter (fresh roasted if you roll like that)

4 Tbsp Agave Nectar (or natural honey

) 1 ripe as hell Banana (I used a frozen one)

Whip it good;) Add and process until smooth

: 1/4c. Coconut flour

(1/3c. coconut flakes in a bullet with do nicely)

1/2 c. Cashew Flour (or any nut really. Again whole nuts in a bullet are nice and fresh)

3 Tbsp Ground Chia or Flax seeds

3 Tbsp. Fair Trade Cocoa (Say no to child Slavery.. right?)

Turn the mix out into a 8 X 8 pan and press flat. Bake @ 325 for 20 min. (Or to remain raw, add more coconut flour or hemp seed flour until the consistency pleases you;))

Take them out and allow to cool… I have trouble waiting for things to cool… so I know that they are delicious right away;)

Melt 100 g of dark fair trade chocolate and pour over top.

Allow to set. MMMMM Package-free lara bar type snacks at your finger tips;)

My honey will be pleased to find these in his lunch tomorrow.

    Yum. Chocolate peanut butter is my favorite dessert flavor. Even better if it’s in my snack!

    These sound really good, and I like your sub of peanut butter for coconut oil. I’m going to add the recipe to my list of gf treats to try.
