Home made Chocolate Peanut Butter

If you’re a nut butter fan then you really need to get into making your own nut butter. There is NOTHING like fresh roasted unadulterated nut butter. Nothing. It doesn’t have to be difficult or time consuming.

You need at least a lb of raw organic peanuts
1/4- 1/2 cup Fair trade cocoa or melted chocolate (optional)
1-2 Tbsp coconut oil
And a reliable machine such as a good food processor, vita-mix blender or champion juicer

Pour your nuts onto a baking tray.
Roast at 350 for about 20 minutes. They continue to roast a bit as they cool so don’t over roast them.
If they still have the skins on them you’ll have to rub them off. It’s easier when they have cooled.
Dump the peanuts into your food processor or what have you, and process! Add the oil and chocolate. Process some more.
It should be smooth in no time.
I store my peanut butter in large mason jars in the fridge.
Try it with Almonds and Hazelnuts too
