In the time it would take me to go and buy some mysterious smelling over priced junk I just go ahead and make my own :)

~Liquid Laundry Detergent~

1 c. Washing Soda (Arm and Hammer makes some. It’s not regular baking soda.)
1/2 c. Borax
1 bar of gentle non fragrance soap , Grated. (I use glycerine)
4 Litres of water

In a huge pot, a canning pot is good, heat 6 c. water.
Add grated soap. Stir to dissolve.
Add washing soda and borax. Stir to dissolve.
Remove from heat.

Add 5 litres of cold water and mix.
Add several drops of essential oil. Lavender, citrus, tea tree or peppermint, clove.. what ever you like

When it has cooled I pour the mixture into two large laundry soap containers from the past.
Use 1/2 cup per load. Remember to wash on COLD, anything else is wasteful:)

~Dish Washer Powder Soap~

I use a Dishwasher. I run it on Normal and let it air dry at the end. I make my own powder and use 1-2 Tbsp. of vinegar as a rinse aid.

Combine ingredients in a container:

1 c. Borax
1c. Washing Soda
1/2 c. Sea Salt
30 Drops Essential Oil (I use tea tree)

1 Tbsp. is all that you need per load.
