Vegan Chocolate French Toast

Whipped some of these up this morning to cheer my honey up as exams close in around him!! Don’t worry honey!! Life’s sweet and there’s plenty of maple syrup to drowned your sorrows in!

This recipe makes enough for about 6-10 slices, but this varies depending on the consistency of your bread.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups almond milk
2 Tbsp. coconut flour
1 Tbsp. nutritional yeast
1 tsp. maple syrup
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. Fair trade vanilla
1 Tbsp Fair trade cocoa
1 1/2 Tbsp. ground flax seed
6-10 slices of bread.

Whisk your ingredients together and soak the pieces of bread until they are nice and slimy!
Fry in a lightly oiled pan on medium until the batter is crisp and golden. Flip and repeat!

Delicious with maple syrup strawberries and bananas, chocolate chips and cashew cream or raspberry jam!

    Hey! I was wondering how you get your chocolates to stay stable at room temp? Do you temper the choc or use a specific kind? I made some this weekend and they got a little melty when left out…

      Hi Kristen!
      Chocolate melts on anything warm.. I kind of like that about it;) You could experiment with different chocolate chips though. I like’Enjoy life’.
